I offer my experience & expertise on a freelance basis outside of my working commitments. If you have any queries regarding the specifics of what I can offer please don’t hesitate to contact me. Please take time to look at what expertise I can offer below.

appleI have over five years of experience in supporting Macintosh systems, including an official Apple Certification.
(ACSP) Apple Certified Support Professional.

As part of two-man Mac support team we cover over 150 Mac Systems within Staffordshire University’s Art’s Media & Design department.
I have setup and maintain two Macintosh servers (Xserve) that provide file sharing, net-boot and net-install services to the labs. This was a project I led to improve the distribution of our custom-built disk images to the various labs, due to the variety of software demands throughout the labs.

I create custom-built disk images for various labs. These custom disk images are created specifically to meet the demand of various degree courses throughout the faculty. Combined with I have a knowledge of Unix scripting, which has been invaluable in integrating the Mac labs within the institutional network setup.
In addition, another project I have implemented and maintained is the use of a print accounting software (papercut) to administer the digital printing services throughout the labs.

An essential tool within Macintosh administration is Remote Desktop. I am fully competent with this software, so I can offer support and instruction. It is a powerful tool, so let me show you how to maximise its potential.

Have recently passed the Apple XServe 10.6 Support exam. In addition I am re-certifying for OSX Lion
